Product packaging has moved on, along with the technology that manufactures it. Clever geometric-shaped boxes and heavily stylised bottles are all the rage and, in some cases, an extension of the whole product experience and brand. Budget can be key, but not essential, to creating a great-looking product and package with the image you want to represent the brand.
Using the new Adobe Dimension package to create mocked-up 3D products has proven to be a great tool to help clients visualise the finished item, as well as finished product renders for use at the point of sale.
I enjoy designing product packaging & labels; holding the finished product in your hands is particularly satisfying. I was one of those kids who loved the box as much as the toy inside, and nothing has changed.
